spiritual life activities

The Rosary is prayed comunally each Sunday after the 9 a.m. Mass in the Church building. All are invited to join in this prayer for the Blessed Mother's intercession.

Eucharistic Adoration with Exposition and Benediction is held the first Wednesday of the month from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Church Building. During Ordinary Time, this Holy Hour includes a communal Rosary. During the Advent and Lenten season, it includes Evening Prayer or Vespers in word and song.

faith formation
for children and adults

Classes for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade are held in the Education Center from 10 to 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Our catechists use an interactive approach, so that our young men and women not only know the fundamentals of their faith, but can also put it into action.

Classes are also available for adults wishing to know more about the Catholic faith, through our RCIA program. Our faith formation team is more than willing to meet around your schedule. Please contact the rectory for dates and times of current classes.

ministries

Our encounter with Christ doesn't end with each Sunday's call to "Go in peace." There are plenty of ways you can become an involved member of the Assumption Parish family and we encourage you to make the most of your faith journey in this life. We'll be there beside you.
music ministry

The Assumption Choir and Instrumental Ensemble lead the church in song at each weekend celebration.

Our parish uses the blue 2011 Gather Third Edition hymnal and we also have access to the OCP and GIA musical libraries, giving our liturgies a most diverse sound.

Music selection is lectionary-based, so that the music we all sing makes the spoken word come alive. â€‹

Singers and musicians are always welcome! We have resources for guitar, strings, woodwinds, brasswinds, and we also have a number of percussion instruments on site.

There is no audition process to join the choir, just feel free to come upstairs before Mass and see if you like making music.
